Private is a series by Kate Brian based on Reed's journey through a private academy for the rich and upscale. She arrives on scholarship and begins to fear and admire the girls of Billings House. Billings houses the most popular girls who are the core of Easton Academy. They are rich, beautiful, and even deadly as Reed soon learns.
The web series does not follow the book. Noelle, the leader has long black hair. In the series, she is played by a blond Samantha Cope. Samantha's presence is more tired than threatening. Taylor Bell, who was said to be "cherub like with her golden curls" is black. Kiran, a supermodel, looks more like a man. Reed's plain mousy brown hair becomes red. I do not like the series. The books are so much better. I feel they could at least have kept to the character's description since it's mentioned several times throughout the book. The web series changed the plot enough without having to change the characters.
